UK Learning delivers Super Seminar session at Cefpi International Conference in Portland Oregon.

Terry White and a membership team from UK Learning led a three hour workshop and presentation to International delegates at the Cefpi conference..The theme of the session was to demonstrate the way in which the vision for the Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy had been developed and translated into a working reality by an integrated design team.The academy has an ambitious and exciting vision with a “stage not age “approach to all-through learning based on a school within a school model.

The session was introduced via video link with Stephen Heppell as the Academy patron setting out the IPACA vision and his view of future learningThe design team outlined their approach to ensuring that all aspects of the approach to learning and teaching and the use of more open and collaborative learning spaces were translated into the design solutions for the building.

The core design team was Terry White,Edunova Associates,Nova Co- Design,Gary Overton ,AHR and Gary Spracklen IPACA.We received very positive feedback on the session and the presentation can be found in Learning Resources.
