Making a Reality of Student Engagement in School Design

Over three thousand students from America and the United Kingdom have taken
part in the Cefpi School of the Future Design competition.Following a STEM
curriculum the students are designing every aspect of their proposed future
schools.UK Learning is out in Portland Oregon in October helping to judge
the regional finalists for the winning designs.At a time when stakeholder
engagement in school design is being forced out of the design process and
by many seen as not needed, it is great to see young people expressing
their needs and creating outstanding and sustainable design solutions for
